From 3-5 August 2023, the McLaren Owner’s Community Malaysia (MOCM) embarked on a scenic drive to Desaru Coast for a weekend of delightful indulgences.
Day 1
Early in the morning, participants gathered at Gamuda Cove to push off for Desaru Coast.
Along the way, they stopped at Shi Wei Sin Seafood for a sumptuous lobster lunch.
After checking in at Hard Rock Desaru Coast and a short rest, the McLaren owners set off for a Dioriviera experience at One&Only & Dior Café.
From 13 June to 6 August, Ember Beach Club at One&Only Desaru Coast housed Dior’s first pop-up store and café in Malaysia, with the luxury French fashion brand presenting its latest Diorviera capsule collection amidst the idyllic beachfront setting.
At Dior Café, the Mediterranean-inspired menu served hearty summer flavours that pay homage to Malaysia’s fresh local produce with an exquisite French twist.
From stylish ready-to-wear pieces to sublime dining offerings, the experience showcased tasteful expressions of the French art de vivre.
To wrap up the thrilling day, participants arrived back at Hard Rock for supper at The Elephant & Butterfly.
Day 2
After a leisurely breakfast, participants headed to The Els Club Desaru Coast which features an all-golf cart course designed by Ernie Els.
After group photos of MOCM members with their cars, lunch was served.
In the afternoon, some treated themselves to spa activities while others just rested and relaxed.
The second day ended with a sunset BBQ seafood dinner at the Westin Beach Club and then music, cigars and drinks to celebrate the camaraderie of a unique community.
After breakfast the next day, participants left for home after another satisfying MOCM outing.
